This little table is really sturdy, really sturdy. It was my Aunts & was legitimately a telephone, the portable landline phone sat on top of it. That being said, the telephone table has been upgraded to a telephone desk & the table was passed on to me. I sanded it smooth & added a cheerful blue in 2 shades to the top & bottom shelf as well as the little drawer.  The body of the table is a country red - imagine a brick red but more earthy in color. Maybe the pictures show this and my description is unnecessary…… The inside is also painted [the drawer] Although the entire drawer is painted, it still received a heavy paper liner which just so happens to come from a Dr. Suess book. You can remove it if you desire to. For full disclosure & internet honestly for anyone being particular, there is some very light texture to the top and bottom shelves [shown in the photos] This does not make the table less sturdy nor does it mean anything places on either surface will rock & roll away from you....it wont. It would be great as a place for pants, a [bed] side table or a place for a telephone 🙂 Measures: Top  11 ½” x 14” Bottom shelf 9 ¼” x 10 ¼” Total height 24 ¼” Bottom 4 ¾” from the ground Pull out drawer inside measurements 4 ¼” x 6 ½” I will meet in Nashua in a safe, easy to find downtown spot. I infrequently travel to Hollis & Windham.
