There are a large number of movies on this hard drive. I did test a couple of the files, and they play just fine. You are welcome to bring a laptop to hook it up to and test. Please note that I did click on the WD Apps Set Up program and received an error, as shown in the photos. It could be an issue with a driver on my laptop, but I did not research any further because all the files on this drive are accessible.
