vintage Dynaco Mark III Vacuum Tube Mono Power Amplifiers available now. Overall condition is very good. Chasis on amps does display some of the slight pitting and loss of luster on the chrome but mainly just on the side edges. The deck area is still quite nice! The cages were sanded and painted black, leaving just the labels with the stock brown color. I'll think you agree they look pretty cool. Electrically basically everything has changed but the excellent early gray transformers. The old multi-section capacitor can has been changed to a drop in replacement multi-section capacitor from https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=RHluYWtpdHBhcnRzLmNvbQ== that keeps the original look up top and doesn't crowd things underneath with the mounting and wiring of three capacitors. These new cans are able to handle the high voltages at turn on. The original driver boards were replaced with new VTA MK3 driver upgrade PCB boards from Tubes4HiFi. These excellent boards use a pair of 6SN7's, bias trims for each output tube and high quality electrolytic and poly audio grade caps. These transform the Mark III into one excellent sounding amplifier! Tube Compliment: This restoration/upgrade utilizes the original Mullard 5AR4 Rectifier Tubes, vintage RCA 6SN7 Driver Tubes matched as closely as possible and Original Gold Aero KT99A Power Tubes. The KT99A is a drop in replacement for a KT88 but with much higher reliability and durability than virtually any other power tube available. And they sound real nice too. All tubes have been tested on the high side of good and matched as closely as possible using a calibrated Hikkoc Tube Tester. Please understand the value of good vintage tubes when determining value of the finished product. The RCA inputs have been changed to a modern gold plated jack with Red identifying the Right Amp and White the Left Amp. High quality banana plug adapters installed to bypass the old style screw binding posts. Makes it much easier to use any speaker wire you want.
