Description
If you’re someone who appreciates the beauty of vintage audio equipment and the stories woven into its grooves, this piece might speak to your heart. 🩷 This stereo is more than just an audio device-it’s a piece of history. It was a companion during slumber parties, quiet evenings, and teenage daydreams/heart breaks. I’d love to see it go to someone who will appreciate both its function and its story… Vintage General Electric Stereo Sound System — Model #P380A-an all-original treasure from the early 1970s, complete with a stacking turntable, two external speakers, and a classic clear acrylic dust cover. This system was loved and well cared for over the years, and it carries the joyful echoes of many Partridge Family, Donny Osmond, and Shaun Cassidy albums. 🎶✨ Key Features: • 💽 Stacking Record Player (Turntable) with cover • 🎚️ Built-in switch to toggle between headphones and speaker output • 🎧 Headphone jack (hard to find on many vintage models!) • 🔊 Two External Speakers • ⚙️ Power: 120V – AC 60 HERTZ – 30 watts • 🕰️ Circa Early 1970s – true retro charm Condition Notes: 🛠️ The stereo system is in working condition for its age, but does need a little TLC to be fully enjoyed: • The diamond stylus (needle) unfortunately broke during a careful cleaning session. It can be replaced, and I’ve attached a link to a stylus replacement company that specializes in vintage components. • You may need to replace the entire cartridge, depending on compatibility. • I wanted to replace it before listing, but due to time constraints, I decided it was best left to someone familiar with stylus/cartridge replacement. • One of the speaker wires (which has some tape on it) might need attention or replacement, as it used to cut in and out. • Acrylic dust cover shows some wear (light scratches and cracks – normal for vintage pieces) Plays 33s, 45s, and 78s – a wonderful range for any collector. Will meet locally in Hoffman Estates Illinois for delivery. Will ship with private sale only-pm for more info if interested. Price is firm All sales final
