Description

75.00 each Vintage Clear Base White Milk Glass Hobnail Hurricane Vanity Oil Fenton White Milk Glass Hobnail Oil Lamp Shade This lamp, was introduced by Fenton in 1965 and discontinued in 1972. Key features: Milk glass: a type of opaque or translucent white glass popular for collecting. Hobnail pattern: The shade features the distinctive bumpy surface of the hobnail pattern, which Fenton introduced in 1939 and became known for. Oil lamp: This type of lamp is designed to burn oil for illumination. Identification notes: Fenton logo: Fenton began adding their logo to milk glass pieces in 1974. If the lamp was manufactured between 1965 and 1972, it might not have the logo, as this predates the common use of the logo on milk glass. "Ring of fire": You can check for a "ring of fire" by holding the milk glass up to natural light to see a halo of iridescent colors, which is a sign of older milk glass made before the 1960s.
