Description

2 ea. mess trays. These items came from the USS Princeton. The USS Princeton (LPH-5) was an Iwo Jima-class amphibious assault ship of the U.S. Navy. It was originally commissioned as an Essex-class aircraft carrier (CV-37) in 1945 but was later reclassified as an amphibious assault ship (LPH-5) in 1959. As LPH-5, it played a significant role in the Vietnam War, conducting helicopter operations to support Marine landings. The ship was decommissioned in 1970 and later scrapped.
