The build quality is phenomenal, and at its price it combines the perfect balance of audiophile sound quality, elegant design and convenience features that make it one of the most sought after direct drive turntables on the used market. It sounds sublime! An interesting feature is that this turntable has a “contactless” remote sensor that lifts the tonearm and stops the turntable at the end of the record. A very ingenious way to eliminate the hassle of retaining the sonic purity of not having any mechanical linkage affect the resonance of the tonearm, but still having the convenience of an auto lift mechanism. It works beautifully. Another ingenious design feature is that the tonearm wand is replaceable. It is being sold with the PCL-60 straight tonearm, but you can actually remove the entire arm and replace it with the heavier “S-shaped” tonearm and accommodate heavier cartridges. Another excellent design feature that allows a wider array of cartridge options. Please note that the “S-shaped” tonearm is not included in this sale.
