This is a nice recliner and it is clean and in good working condition. We had cats over 10 years ago that scratched the back and the side, please look at the photos. But it is still an extremely comfortable recliner. We are just going more modern. It has a lever on the inside to release the recliner. Non-smoking house and haven’t had cats for 10 years. they never sat in the chair. They just scratched on it. Because of the busy pattern it’s not terribly noticeable.
