Vintage Robert Cox Original Floral Oil Painting 24x20 Ornate Gold Gilt Frame

Up for sale is a stunning, authentic mid-century original oil on canvas painting by the highly collectible American floral artist, Robert Cox (1934–2001). Famous for his expressive palette knife work and vibrant floral still lifes, this beautifully balanced horizontal piece features his signature soft, warm gradient background and a rich arrangement of peach, cream, and coral roses resting in a golden bowl. It is hand-signed by the artist in his characteristic script in the lower right corner. The artwork is housed in its spectacular, original vintage mid-century ornate gold gilt frame. Measuring 24" wide by 20" tall, this is an exceptionally desirable statement size that is perfect for hanging above a mantle, a console table, or as a focal piece in a gallery wall. The frame features deeply molded scrolling floral motifs, a beaded inner lip, and a classic antiqued gold finish. Excellent vintage condition! The canvas is tight, flat, and features beautiful, unfaded colors with no cracking, tears, or staining. The ornate gesso frame is structurally excellent with solid corners and no major chips or missing plaster pieces along the intricate molding. It shows minor, age-appropriate surface wear that adds to its authentic vintage character. Ready to hang immediately!
