Mint Condition. This was produced in association with the gunmakers James Purdey & Sons, London. These highly collectible boxes are handmade in England and are prized for their detailed, hand-painted designs. Halcyon Days Enamels, known for reviving the 18th-century craft of Bilston & Battersea enamels. The top of the oval-shaped box features a detailed illustration of a hunter with a spaniel dog, set against a backdrop of trees and a river, with the words "Duck-shooting" in a banner below. The box was created in collaboration with the prestigious London gunmakers, James Purdey & Sons. The scene is hand-painted enamel over copper, a process involving multiple firings to achieve a vibrant, jewel-like finish.
