Description
Priced dropped for this weekend only. In excellent condition to like new with only a few minor, pencil-tip-sized dings and light surface scratches—purely cosmetic and barely noticeable. This 2001 14 fret Taylor 712ce has aged like a fine vintage wine, both in appearance and tone. Its beautifully matured finish seems to have captured a golden glow from years of sunlight, giving it a warm, radiant charm. Sonically, the guitar has opened up magnificently over time, delivering a rich, resonant voice that only years of playing and aging can produce. Its classic pairing of a Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides delivers the rich tone and responsive feel Taylor guitars are known for. The cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets on the smooth Rosewood fingerboard, while the slightly shorter Mahogany neck adds playing comfort and brings a punchy presence to the upper mids—perfect for standing out in a mix. The 712ce may not deliver sheer power, but it more than makes up for it with a beautifully balanced tone across the lows, mids, and highs. It offers a seamless blend of finger and pick techniques. Strumming and flat-picking feel effortless, not only due to the guitar’s tonal balance but also because of its smooth, almost electric-like playability. With its clear intonation, tonal clarity, and sleek feel, it’s hard to find a better match. The electronics work flawlessly to amplify its beautiful sound, and the Taylor Prefix Stereo Blender allows you to further enhance and shape the tone to suit your personal style and how you want it to be projected to your audience. Specs: With its 381mm (15-inch) wide body, Taylor’s Grand Concert is comparable in size to Martin’s 000/OM models. The steel-string 712ce, in typical Taylor style, uses a bound spade head, and has a 14-fret neck joint with Taylor's shorter scale of 632mm (24.875 inches).
