FRAUD ALERT: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS SELLING FAKE SURROUND SOUND SYSTEMS I’m sharing this to raise awareness about a scam happening in parking lots, on Facebook Marketplace, and OfferUp. Scammers are selling a story about high-end surround sound systems being sold at a “huge discount.” These are often knockoff brands like MR-X and others, falsely advertised as premium, expensive products. The truth: These items are cheaply made and do not function, and are designed to trick buyers into thinking they’re getting a great deal. Don’t entertain this! These are scams, and their goal is to take advantage of unsuspecting buyers. Let’s help each other stay safe and avoid falling victim to these scammers.
