Measurements: 6 1/4"W x 2"D x 3 1/2"H Description: Vintage Circa 1950's Steel Office Stapler, Bates Jr. - Shaped like a Mercury winged foot, this professional office stapler is named the "Bates Junior Stapler." - Made from solid steel throughout, except for the rubber feet. - Manufactured by The Bates Mfg. Co., Orange, New Jersey, USA. - Circa early 1950s. - Note the metal push-top impact knob which are often made from plastic. - Overall, this Bates Jr stapler is a wonderful example of mid century industrial design. - The crimp area (anvil) consists of a three-way triangular base that can be rotated from the underside in order to put out different staple styles. - Stapler still has its original rubber feet which keeps it in place on a desk or table. - Takes standard-size staples (1/2" x 1/4"). TESTED, WORKING: Still has some staples inside. It has been tested and it works well. CONDITION: Minor oxidation/patina and slight loss to the finish in areas, but otherwise in great vintage condition. Very displayable, and usable too!
