I bought this item brand new. I installed it in the window and I had to take it out shortly after cuz the landlord had not allowed it. It's been sitting in my garage and it's a very good AC unit works perfect The orange around the back of the AC is just because I sprayed foam around the area to seal around the window and across the top. That's just silicone. Other than that the unit is brand new. Good cleaning. Will take care of that. Orange foam good as new I touched a link for you to see what type and what unit and all details.
