I bought this item brand new. I installed it in the window and I had to take it out shortly after cuz the landlord had not allowed it. It's been sitting in my garage and it's a very good AC unit works perfect The orange around the back of the AC is just because I sprayed foam around the area to seal around the window and across the top.
