I need to make some room in my garage, so I have lowered the price from 850 to 600 bucks, so come get it. No trades. Cash only. First disclosure-this bike is a true wiring spectacle. Some of it was done when I got it and admittedly I don’t know anything about motorcycle wiring, so some of it was done by me just to get it safe for riding. It DOES have a functional headlight and 4 functional turn signals. I’m honestly not sure about the brake light, but the Tail Light is funny…it is operated by an on/off switch that hangs on the right side of the bike. Admittedly that was my doing because I didn’t know how to wire it up correctly and I wanted to ride. Bike has aftermarket Vance and Hines exhaust and sounds awesome. There is something putting a pretty serious drain on the battery. Right now it has a brand new battery that I have been keeping unhooked, or keeping the battery tender on. As far as the engine, it’s cold natured but once it’s warmed up it runs great, however there is no third gear. This is the third ‘86 vt1100c I’ve had and none of them had third gear. I’ve always just wound out second and shifted directly into 4th. No big deal once you get used to it. Honda changed these bikes up A LOT in ‘87, so a lot of the parts for the 85-86 only fit those models and there aren’t a whole lot of them out there. Things such as the original handlebars (which are on it) and battery/side covers only fit those models and draw a premium if you want to part it out. Put some time and very little money into this bike, and you’ll have a killer cruiser, or if you want to part it out, there is money to be made. It’s just time for me to move on and the bike to go to someone who will do SOMETHING with it. UPDATE!!!! When I put the new battery on it after sitting for 2 years it was leaking fuel BAD out of the carburetor. I think one of the floats was stuck, because the minute you turned the key and the fuel pump came on, it started squirting gas. I pulled the tank and air box and I'm pretty sure I got the float un-stuck because it doesn't leak gas any more. If i use my hand to choke the carburetor, it'll start as long as I keep my hand about 3/4 of the way over the intake. I'm pretty sure that once it warms up it'll actually run fine. It still has those weird electrical issues that I disclosed in the ad, but it's actually starting now. I haven't had time to put it all back together yet. 600 OBO Yes, it’s available. Bike will come with a set of hard fiberglass saddlebags that were on it when I got it and a quick release windshield. Yes, I know that was a lot to read, and you probably just skimmed through it, and will probably ask at least 2 questions that I already answered. But, hey. That’s aaaaalllllriiiiight.
