This superb engraving is an original William Hogarth engraving and was once owned by the horror film actor& avid art collector Vincent Price. Everything is on the reverse of the engraving to authenticate the piece, which came from a private family collection. Purchased in 1966 from Sears & Robux, the retail department store sold original art work back then. As you can see by the tag in the center of the reverse, this was part of the Vincent Price Collection. The seal of the private collector is also on the reverse, to protect their privacy, I withheld pics of that. This is a rare engraving print that was made in the late 1700’s or early 1800’s and pressed using the original Hogarth plate.
