This is real bio active terrarium , there are springtails and isopods roaming the tank to help keep it clean and provide fresh nutrients. Set it and forget it with the lid on a the tank it traps the water in the tank meaning you only have to water about every other month. You can keep lizards frogs you name it these plants were specifically put in there so they can with hold a small critter living amongst them. This tank includes two varieties of straw burry inside one and tons of colors and a great starting point for a beginner in the hobby. Everything in the tank is real no fake plants and no fertilizer. Best of all no fungus knats!!!
