1978 BMW R80/7 800cc Airhead, very nice, runs & rides great, 37,735 mi

The R80 is considered by many to be the sweet spot for engine size of all of the BMW Airheads. Any larger and vibration starts to become a problem. This one is in very nice shape and it runs and rides great. It fires right up, warms up quickly, idles smoothly, and has nice clean power all the way through the rev range. Everything works except for the odometer, which is pretty common on older BMWs. The pushrod tube seals are leaking, which is also very common on the Airheads. It has a Lockhart oil cooler, an oil pan extender (for more oil capacity) with cooling tubes, an oil dipstick with a thermometer attached to measure oil temperature, an ammeter, mounting racks for Krauser hard bags, engine protection bars, and bar-backs which bring the handlebars further back toward the rider. It has a clean title. I will consider trades.
