Description

Gareth is a great looking 90s style mountain bike, 18” frame (fits between 5’2 and 5’ 6” depending on proportions). I used him for a short bikepacking trip, where he carried two heavy panniers full of gear. Ive hit a few easy mountain bike trails with him too, but I’m not skilled in that arena so can’t tell you how technically he performed. I’ve since decided to get a bike that’s actually meant for gravel touring, wanted disc brakes, and really don’t have a need for a mountain bike…even though he’s so cool. Great condition, shifts well, front shocks still have life, seat is worn but fine. You could use him for a steady, safe, reliable commuter since there’s a back rack for all your work or life gear. Or lock out the suspension and have a fine and cheap gravel touring bike! Or take that rear rack off and hit the single track trails (I have the thru axle still if that’s your choice). Options abound. I bought him used for $250, spent $75 on the rack (sort of a unique axle mounted deal), and put some sweat equity into maintenance. I haven’t ridden him more than 50 miles and would like to recover some costs. Mostly I want him to go to a great home. So, $200 OBO! Message me if you’d like more details.
