FOR SALE: 1989 Ford Ranger – 2.9L V6 – 5-Speed Manual – Push-Button 4x4 – 25,898 Miles – CLEAN TITLE Price: $3,000 OBO Location: (buckeye ) Up for sale is my 1989 Ford Ranger with the 2.9L V6, 5-speed manual, and factory push-button 4x4. It has only 25,898 original miles, and I have the clean title in hand (not salvage). This has been a fun little truck and the 4x4 worked great when it was running. Mechanical The issue is with the transmission. 1st and 2nd gear got loose, but 3rd, 4th, and 5th were still working fine. A mechanic started taking the transmission apart but never returned to finish the job, so it currently needs to be reassembled or repaired. The engine ran strong before it was parked, and it also has new head gaskets installed. Will need to be towed. Exterior The truck is all there and the body is mostly straight. It does have typical Arizona sun wear and some rust spots showing through, but nothing major for its age. It’s been sitting, so it’s dusty and could use a cleanup, but it has good bones and plenty of potential. Interior Interior is complete and original. The bench seat shows some wear and tears, but everything is intact and functional. A good cleaning or a seat cover would go a long way. Dash and panels are all there.
