Description

Everything worked, the last time I used it. In one of the photos, some information like the MAC IDs and the serial numbers are blacked out. They're not blacked out in real life, just in the photos so that they can't be used network intrusions, hacking, etc. Speeds: 38Mbps down and 30Mbps upstream. I used it with Charter Spectrum internet when they were charging modem rental fees if you didn't have your own modem. Power supply/adapter included. Ethernet cable not included. If you're looking at buying modems, you likely know a decent amount about technology. On the off chance you don't, here's some information I can provide, but please don't expect anything further, as I'm not your assistant or tech support. Modems are very simple devices. This is a modem, not a router. It's not a combination modem and router either. By itself, it won't provide wireless internet (wi-fi); that's what a wireless router is for (and maybe the aforementioned combination modem and router). There are two ports: 1 Ethernet port and 1 USB port. Both can be used for internet, but I don't remember if they can both be used at the same time. As you can see, that USB port is for a Type B USB connector. A USB cable can have different connectors on both ends of the cable. You can perform an image search for 'USB port shapes' to make it easier to understand which is which. The (old/standard) USB connector port is the rectangular one that's found on many older and some modern/new computers and USB chargers and you attempt to plug in seemingly wrong 75% of the time despite a 50% chance of being in the wrong orientation. You would have to check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if it's compatible with their systems. They'll likely have a compatibility list somewhere on their website. Some ISPs include: Charter Spectrum, Frontier Communications, Greenlight Networks, AT&T Internet, and Verizon Fios. Priority goes to whoever can pick it up first. When contacting me, let me know your availability.
