I recently bought a ‘25 Tundra at Toyota Santa Cruz. I’ve wanted a truck my whole life and my experience was excellent. The GM, JP, is very personable and runs an excellent business. His team is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. My sales guy was Abel, ask for him, best ever, very patient.

It took me some time to decide which trim I wanted, but once I did, I was done with paperwork in less than an hour. They also have onsite ceramic coating, which I recommend for a new car. Pricing was surprisingly good, even with the tariffs.

I can’t recommend this dealership enough and plan to buy my next car here as well!

I typically don’t leave reviews, but my recent experience warrants one. I brought my 2020 Toyota Supra to Santa Cruz Toyota while on vacation due to a low coolant warning. After their diagnosis, I was informed that both the water pump and head gasket had failed. They estimated a five-day turnaround and provided a rental vehicle.

Over the next three weeks, I received inconsistent updates and excuses ranging from unavailable parts to missing tools. Eventually, I was told I’d need to approve a potential $4,500 labor charge if the repair was deemed non-warranty—even though the vehicle is still under the powertrain warranty with over 50,000 miles remaining. At that point, due to the delays and lack of clarity, I opted to have the car shipped back to my local dealership for service, which cost me $2,500 out of pocket.

When the car arrived back home, I was shocked by its condition. It appeared to have been left outside the entire time, covered in hard water spots and bird droppings that etched into the paint protection film—an $8,000 investment. The overall condition of the vehicle was unacceptable and showed a complete lack of care or respect for personal property.

This experience has left me extremely disappointed—not just with this particular dealership, but with Toyota’s service network as a whole. This vehicle represents one of Toyota’s flagship models, and I expected a level of professionalism and care in line with that. Unfortunately, this ordeal has significantly impacted my trust in the brand and its commitment to customer service.

I recently visited the Toyota dealership in Santa Cruz to get an oil change and a multipoint inspection for my car, and I was really impressed with their service. While they worked on my vehicle, they offered a complimentary shuttle service that takes you anywhere within 12 miles, which I found incredibly convenient. I used the shuttle to head to Capitola and enjoyed my time there while my car was being serviced. The process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and professional. If you need maintenance done and want the flexibility to get around while you wait, this dealership’s shuttle service is a fantastic perk! Thank you Santa Cruz Toyota!

This was the first time we brought our Lexus here for a scheduled maintenance service  appointment and we were very impressed with how efficient and organized the process was. Not only that but our knowledgeable service rep patiently and thoroughly answered questions we had about our warranty that had not been made clear to us previously. We’re very glad to be able to trust this service dept with our vehicle going forward- and they’re close to home!

I recently had a terrific experience working with the team to purchase a new Tacoma. My salesman, Abel Peña, was particularly outstanding. No pressure, very well informed, and patient. Even after the sale, he was very helpful in his post-sale communications with me as the service dept worked on installing some aftermarket items. I've always had great experiences with past purchases and service at this dealership, and people like Abel, and their finance person, Jeff Wallace, are the reason why!
