Description

This beautiful guitar was made in  1970. Surviving in overall excellent condition. It has a few tiny marks on its top and very fine signs of normal wear. It is an absolutely fantastic sounding guitar that will beat many modern era guitars. Most are surprised by how LOUD it is! Smooth action and great tone! These do not show up very often and if they do? They are not in the prime condition that this beauty is! Kiso Suzuki 1970 No. 15 is a better than entry level but still affordable classical guitar, with nice appointments such as the mosaic purfling strip /aka marquetry and multi colored/ layered binding. The top is Spruce and laminate, with the back and sides made of Rosewood.  $100, no holds.  Suzuki Guitars have been around since the turn of the century and have attracted a growing interest by players and collectors alike. Many guitar players own more than one guitar, yet a common story it seems is that the Suzuki guitar is the one played most often, or that it stays with them when all others are sold. The company may be known by the generic label "Suzuki", but there are actually three different Japanese companies that have manufactured guitars under the name of Suzuki, but all having a common ancestry. Kiso-Suzuki was one company to manufacture guitars in the region of Kiso-prefecture. A company was started in Nagoya too - Suzuki Violin Company, Nagoya was manufacturing about the same number of models as Kiso, but with different numbers. Today, it seems Suzuki guitars are still manufactured in Nagoya, Japan, though the guitar label does not state that information. All Suzuki's have had a fairly good-to-excellent reputation and some models are very collectable; one reason is the quality of wood and workmanship
