1920s Antique Deering Wooden Snow Sled

This is a snow scoop owned by my Great grandparents - they used it quite a bit before modern tools came into play. Its since been retired from use and has been stored with care in an indoor space safe from the elements. Mom thinks its time for some space so its posted here from a new home to appreciate it.  My grandparents actually used it to set out for their holiday decor with a wreath just to put it to use and think of my Great grandparents fighting the snow in new England. This scoop is made by the Deering Snow Scoop company, the used to be a name on the backboard originally but due to using the sled so much it has worn away. My Dad said that this company was in Maine and the company was under the G.A. Grossman & Sons manufacturing brand. The scoop is made of wood with runners on the back and along the edge, galvanized metal. The metal is aged and has snapped off in one spot but the body of the sled is in great shape. The photos do show that its been used and that the edges where the sled would be pulled have had a long life of helpful use.The handle is secure and the wood thru the body is strong & unrotted.
