The Tower Strings Electric Pro violin comes with a built-in pre-amp and pickup! The violin also comes with built-in volume and tone control. The Active Pickup is powered by a 9v battery on board (included). This sends a cleaner and more powerful signal when compared to passive pickups.  Simply switch it on and plug in the headphones (earbuds included) or directly to an amplifier - nothing else is needed!
