Description

Very good condition 1966 Gibson Hummingbird in natural. All original, no breaks. From what I gather of the decals on the top, this guitar was owned by an older gentleman in a band, or that worked at a radio station. Hence, the guitar has some wear, but nothing to indicate the guitar was gigged with etc. Very warm and chimey, with a nice thud when played with a pick. Original pickguard does not seem to have been refinished etc, but does look like it was re-glued at some point. It is very solid as it sits now. Original frets are good and have some wear, but no deep indents etc. Original tuners work well and stay in tune nicely. Saddle has been switched, but seems old as well. I will include the original saddle. Very clean back on this one. I had this checked out to spot a refinish because the back is so shiny, but a black light revealed that this is all the original finish. Very well taken care of. Medium weight. Comes with a new Gibson acoustic case that fits the guitar well. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
