Steam Kettle - Manual Tilt, 2/3 Jacket, 208v/1ph The Groen TDB-40C tabletop tilting kettle has a 40-quart (10-gallon) capacity that works well with large batch cooking and heats up through steam, which is a much more forgiving and even heating method than range top cooking. Between the interior and exterior, a hollow jacket holds water that, when heated, turns into steam. This steam source is self-contained in the unit and does not require hookup to a boiler or generator. Because this Groen TDB-40C steam kettle tilts, operators can conveniently empty cooked product into pans and containers. As the user turns the manual hand crank, a worm-and-gear mechanism smoothly tilts the body, holding it in the desired position. The kettle rim has a reinforced construction that resists denting, so steam pressure stays the same. To ensure minimal dripping and spilling, a pouring lip is welded into the rim and directs product into a separate container. A faucet bracket comes with the unit, so operators can mount a single- or double-pantry faucet on the rear for a constant flow of water.
