Carver A-400x Power Amp

Awesome Carver powerhouse amplifier. This is a 2 channel THX certified power amp with 200watts/8ohms, 300 watts/4ohms and 600 watts in mono mode. This is a solid amp with loads of high current power with low distortion. Sounds very clean and detailed with strong/punchy bass. I have been testing it with Martin Logan electrostats and pushes them without even trying and sounds excellent. Works equally well for music and home theater applications. Can be used for a dedicated 2ch music system or for additional power for multi channel systems or to add another zone like outdoors or whole house music system. Cosmetically in good shape except for a couple scuff marks on the front of the top cover and small blemishes here and there from previous installations. Unit has been cleaned, inspected and tested fully functional. I have a professionally serviced mint condition Carver C2 preamp that mates very well with this amp for a killer 2ch front end.
