I had been dreaming of owning this MIDI Controller since it’s release! I finally got one after saving up. I LOVE this piece of gear. I has been the center of my music studio for 6+ years. I have taken good care of it but definitely used it for everything. The All-In-One design for the range of controls is fantastic since I like a simple desk set up and don’t have room for a separate Pad Controller, DAW Mixer Controller and another standalone Soft Synth Controller. I have been playing piano my whole life so I am used to the weight of the keys on real pianos. This controller is great for practicing and also for being as expressive as you would like as setting up custom velocity curves is not difficult when you want to jump from synth sounds to realistic sampled piano. So what’s the catch? Why sell my dream MIDI Controller? Well, halfway through last year the Mod Wheel started sending movement by its self and not to long afterwards the Pitch Wheel started doing the same. I took the board to get professionally repaired. About four months later I was informed that there was nothing he could do to fix it for me. Super hard to find parts for such old gear and that the best thing I could do was to sell it for parts. So I responded with request to simply disconnect the Both Wheels and see if the rest of the board would work normally, AND IT DID! So I paid like 50 bucks and took it back home and continued using it with no problems, except of course when I would instinctively reach for the Mod Wheel… SO, I think there are probably some home producers / musicians out there that could benefit from a great controller like this one if they don’t really use or need the Pitch or Mod Wheels. AND, I need to get a “new” MPK88 (still finding some mint condition, barely used ones online for 500-600) :) So that’s the long story and the big idea. Hook someone up who understands the value of this gear with a great price due to the disclosed non-functioning wheels in order to help buy another one :D I have a heavy duty (this thing is 65lbs!) keyboard stand and folding bench that I will include with purchase and I am sure I have an extra USB cable i can include as well. Again, this is available “AS-IS”. Questions welcomed. Low ballers are just wasting their own time ;)
