Description
Pick up Figarden and Bullard area of Fresno. Vintage, well made with good craftsmanship and stored for 55 years with great care . No wear, no food, no pets, no smoking, no body fluids, no sun fading. Too nice for my family to actually use and is an heirloom no one is interested in continuing the preservation of. 6 feet long, 5 feet wide. Fringe on one end. No pilling or snags. A few loose tails that may need tucking back in. Recently washed in tide free and clear. Shades of pink in washable yarn. The lore is that my great- grandma bought this in mid to late 1960's from a local knitter at the Good Shepherd Lutheran church fundraiser craft fair, but is no longer with us to verify. My 72 year old mother remembers this being told that story and seeing it in a guest room no one was allowed to be near in 1970. She has stored it in the back of a hope chest in a closet since 1990 in hopes of having her own granddaughter, but that ship has sailed. I hope to find someone into vintage and handmade functional items that would love this blanket more than my family.
