Sterling by Music Man StingRay Short Scale Electric Bass Guitar - Blue Pearl

Respectfully, to save us both time: No trades No negotiations No discounts Basically new. Never played. Comes with new Gator shirt scale bass case. The Sterling by Music Man StingRay Short Scale bass brings the iconic StingRay character to a compact, highly playable 30" platform. Designed for comfort and portability, it uses a lightweight nyatoh body and a fast roasted maple neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard. A powerful neodymium humbucker anchors the sound, delivering the punch and clarity associated with the Music Man lineage. With a push/push volume boost and a 3-way rotary selector offering parallel, series and single-coil tones, the instrument adapts easily to shifting musical needs. For players who want big, authoritative low end in a smaller, stage-ready package, the short-scale StingRay offers versatility without added weight or strain. Neodymium Pickup and Push/Push Boost Expand Sonic Range The heart of this short-scale model is its Sterling by Music Man–designed neodymium humbucker, chosen for its strong output and focused response. Even in passive mode, the pickup delivers a full, articulate tone that holds its presence in a mix. Engaging the push/push boost adds extra power—ideal for accenting slap passages or bringing lines forward. The rotary switch changes the pickup wiring instantly: series emphasizes thick lows, parallel tightens attack and increases clarity, and single-coil mode brightens the overall voice. This flexible system gives players multiple tonal personalities without relying on additional gear. Roasted Maple Neck and 30" Scale Improve Playability The roasted maple neck offers enhanced stability and a smooth, fast feel under the fingers. Its 30" scale length lowers string tension, producing round, punchy notes that remain easy to fret—especially helpful for players with smaller hands or those seeking reduced fatigue. A rosewood fretboard with medium frets and white-dot markers ensures clear visibility and confident movement across registers. Whether using fingerstyle or a pick, the short scale supports fluid technique during long sessions or energetic sets. Passive Controls and Rotary Selector Simplify Adjustments This model keeps electronics straightforward with a passive layout that requires no batteries. The push/push boost sits next to the tone control for quick access, and the rotary selector’s feel and placement make changes effortless during a performance. Open-gear tuners, a 6-bolt neck joint and a single-action truss rod round out the functional design, offering stability and easy adjustments. The overall layout keeps the focus on playing, minimizing setup time between rehearsals, recordings or gigs. Nyatoh Body and Quality Hardware Increase Durability A lightweight nyatoh body provides comfort without compromising resonance, helping the instrument withstand frequent use. The Sterling by Music Man bridge offers dependable intonation and sustain, while nickel hardware resists wear from travel or repeated performances. Ernie Ball short-scale strings maintain tuning and tonal consistency over extended use. With a secure 6-bolt neck joint and solid construction throughout, the StingRay Short Scale is built for years of reliable service. A Compact StingRay Built for Versatility and Comfort Players who want a punchy, responsive bass in a lighter, more compact format will find the StingRay Short Scale both inspiring and practical. Its neodymium pickup, boost feature and wiring options adapt quickly to any musical setting, while the roasted maple neck and ergonomic body make long sessions noticeably easier. With consistent tuning, a modern voice and a performance-ready build, this short-scale StingRay delivers big sound without the bulk.o
