Rare Vintage 1940’s “Dar-Lin” Wood Clutch Purse

This is a 1940’s, World War 2 era Dar-Lin brand wooden, handcrafted clutch with an intricate design. Perfect for a unique style statement or as a collectors piece. This piece is a rare original made in St. Petersburg, FL, where most of these style purses were being made at that time. It’s in overall very good condition considering its age. However like most pieces this old it is not without some flaws. It is still solidly intact but there are a couple surface blemishes, that unless looking it over, aren’t very noticeable. A couple fine scratches and some tiny spots of clear glue is what I found.. The fabric has also held up quite nicely but there are notable areas of fading or some discoloring from age. The measurements are approximately 7”x12” I believe. I’m going off of memory. I can confirm upon request. It is very close to that size. It is surprisingly clean inside and out and truly a unique and beautiful fashion piece or keepsake.
