Description

Hidden Treasures on the Brick Road 10003 270th St NW, Stanwood, WA 98292 Open: Fridays 1pm - 4pm & Saturdays 1pm - 6pm Length (inches): 3.00 Width (inches): 3.00 Height (inches): 4.00 This charming studio pottery vase showcases a modern minimalist aesthetic with strong earthy character. Hand-thrown and signed “K.M.” on the base, it features a thick-walled form with a narrow neck and rounded shoulder, finished in a soft two-tone glaze. The upper portion is a speckled ivory that subtly transitions into a muted olive-gray, likely created using a natural ash glaze technique. Its low, squat profile and understated palette make it a versatile decorative accent for rustic, Scandinavian, or wabi-sabi-inspired interiors. Estimated to date from the late 20th to early 21st century, this piece is a fine example of contemporary American or Canadian studio ceramics. It is unsigned beyond the “K.M.” initials, which appear hand-incised into the unglazed base. No chips or cracks noted. Details: Material: Stoneware clay with natural ash glaze Style: Rustic modern / Minimalist / Studio pottery Estimated Age: 1980s–2000s Condition: Excellent vintage condition
