1980 Choate Feo CF37 racer/cruiser sailboat

This 1980 Choate FEO CF37 is a very solidly built cruiser-racer perfect for the Pacific Northwest. Asylum has been sailing these waters since 1987 under two owners. It has visited the San Juans and Alaska many times, and with the many extra features on board, is an incredibly comfortable cruising boat. This boat is also easily able to be raced competitively with a PHRF rating of 126. Asylum has a long history of success on the racecourse, and a reputation for being a very spacious and comfortable boat for cruising and entertaining. If you take this boat out racing in the winter, you can enjoy a heated cabin with the onboard diesel heater. With an incredibly fuel-efficient motor, you can still motor throughout the Sound with little effort or expense. This boat can sleep up to 7 people. An enormous v-berth is accompanied by two single berths, a pilot berth, and a ¾ berth. The custom-built table easily serves up to 7 people, and we have had as many as 12 people below decks after races having dinner. Asylum has been meticulously maintained and cared for. The hull is spectacularly clean with very few flaws. Aslyum’s gorgeous lines are accentuated by brand new kiwi-grip top paint, bottom paint, striping, and polished hull. All racing sails just inspected and repaired by Ballard Sails. This boat turns heads wherever she goes.
