Midwood Brands 12" Green / Yellow With Bow Ribbon Frog Plush Stuffed Animal Toy. This is a rare 12-inch green and yellow plush frog stuffed animal toy produced by Midwood Brands. The frog features a soft texture and comes adorned with a bright yellow ribbon bow. It is designed to be suitable for both cuddling or displaying on a shelf. Product Specifications Brand: Midwood Brands Character: Frog Size: Approximately 12 inches in length. Key Features: Bright green textured fur, a contrasting yellow underbelly, yellow/gold accented eyes, and a sheer yellow decorative bow tied around the neck. Body Style: Flat, floppy, laying-down posture, making it perfect for cuddling or display. The toy is designed after the American Green Tree Frog (Dryophytes cinereus), an amphibian native to the southeastern United States. Physical Characteristics Vibrant Camouflage: In the wild, their coloring varies from bright green to olive, helping them blend perfectly into leafy vegetation. Just like the toy, they feature a contrasting white-to-yellow underbelly and bright, golden-accented eyes. Acrobatic Climbers: They are largely tree-dwelling (arboreal) animals. They feature specialized, sticky toe pads that allow them to scale vertical surfaces and cling to tree branches, windows, or walls. Size: They are relatively small and slender, usually growing between 1.25 to 2.5 inches in length. Habitat & Behavior Wetland Residents: While they spend plenty of time high up in trees, they must live near a permanent water source—such as lakes, ponds, marshes, and swamps—to keep their delicate skin moist and to lay eggs. Nocturnal Hunters: They rest in cool, shady areas during the day and emerge at night to hunt. They are beneficial insectivores, eating moths, crickets, flies, and spiders. Weather Prophets: These frogs are famously nicknamed "bell frogs" or "weather prophets" because of their loud, nasal, honking mating call. They sing in chorus during warm, damp weather right before a rainstorm.
