Tama Superstar (made in Japan) These are incredible drums. I’d put the shells up there with Sonors and other thicker shelled drums. Fantastic cut/projection. Bought this off of a guy who did the conversion. The sizes make it a great chameleon kit - I’ve used it for everything from straight ahead jazz to funk, hip hop, and in orchestras and chamber ensembles when I need big tom sounds. 12x8 (non power size seems to be a rarity) 15x12 (rack to floor conversion) 18x16 (floor to kick conversion) Comes with legs and ludwig tom mount Currently has a mixed bag of heads - AQ modern vintage with felt on the bd reso, AQ force 1 on batter and the toms have hydraulics over ambassadors. Can pop some fresh heads on to your preference (probably - might be low on 15” options). Prices on these drums are kind of outrageous, but you can snag these player quality drums and get the sound for a fraction of the stupid market price. Edit: $150 extra for 12x8 and 20x16 Humes & Berg padded enduro pro cases to go with it. The hardware on the kick necessitates an oversized case. The floor tom leg brackets also require a 16” case (I could add one for a little more, but I’d have to find it - I think it’s currently occupied somewhere else).
