Description
This is a stunning sculptural, European bronze and marble clock from the mid 19th Century. It has a hand wound mechanical mechanism. I have not tried to wind it as I do not have the right key. Most of these clocks ever need is just to be taken apart and have the old grease cleaned up on them. This one might work though I just have not tested it. I’m selling a more of a figural sculptural piece as it is very gorgeous. Has a statue of a man most likely, a hunter and his dog with a bird in his hand. There’s also a small piece that I think hung around the man, but I’m not sure if it originally went with his clock. The dial is made out of porcelain. There are no makers marks on it that I can find. The fennel piece at the top of the clock you can spin. And the man wobbles a tiny bit. The bolts holding them into place can probably be tightened again. I did not mess with them.
