No plastic parts at all. You can drop all you want. You can see that the pictures show they are in like-new condition—75 lbs each (150 lbs set). You can quickly adjust and change weights. I didn't use them much because I go to a commercial gym and don't use the home gym. Brand new are $698+tax.
