don`t know how old it is, I purchased from a yard sale, It was in bad shape. took me a month to restore it. do not have a key for the locks (all unlocked). I added the brass handles/glass shelf/LED lighting/pitures/some of the interior wood. desk light comes on when desk is opened. Hidden floor switch to turn on/off all lights. As Is
