From the website: Murano glass is a type of glass produced on the Venetian island of Murano, known for its centuries-old tradition of glassmaking. The intricate decorations on the glasses are created using techniques such as enameling and gilding with 24-karat gold leaf, a method sometimes referred to as "Tre Fuochi" or "three flames". This process involves firing the glass multiple times to set the enamel and gold designs. The Pontil mark is a scar that was left behind when the glass master broke the Pontil rod of the finished blown Murano glasswork. The Pontil mark can be found on the bottom of a hand-blown artwork, as seen on the bottoms of these glasses. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
