Antique Dolls of the World Ms. Italy and perhaps Miss Scotland or Netherlands Beautiful RARE Vintage Dolls Of All Nations / Maids of all Nations Dolls: Dark Hair (Italy) I was not able to identify the country of the red head. Perfect Christmas HOLIDAY Doll!! Christmas, Birthday Gift, Collectible. ✿ The entire body is made of hard plastic, with jointed head, and shoulders. These girls are ready for a new home. Miss possibly Ireland or Scotland has red/orange hair and blue eyes. Ms. Italy has black hair and blue eyes. ✿ There is no maker's mark on either of these Maids of all Nations Dolls, but the dolls are identified as circa 1950's. ✿ Many doll companies made small composition and hard plastic dolls during the era of 1948-1960s, one of which is the Duchess Doll Corporation. Dolls are 7-8" tall slender adult figure body jointed at neck and shoulders with non-bendable legs, painted or sleep eyes, wigged, and molded painted on low heeled shoes, with elaborate costumes stapled to dolls body. These are also called "Travel Dolls". These two I believe are Duchess Dolls of the Nations, but do not have painted shoes, or duchess doll markings anywhere on their bodies (unless under the stapled clothing). ✿ Dolls are approximately: They are both 7.5" tall and have the original clothing that they came with. ✿ He comes exactly as pictured. Please look over the pictures carefully, as vintage items are sold as is and final sale. Miss Italy's apron seam is visible in the front under her red sash. The red head doll may be missing part of her hat because her hair is exposed in the center. The trim of her dress is frayed because of missing stitch. Nonetheless both dolls are beautiful and in really good vintage shape for their age. Clothes are a bit wrinkled from being packed.
