At the time of its release, the Matrix IC7 Group Cycling Bike was—and continues to be—one of the most technologically innovative stationary cycles in the industry—and it doesn’t hurt that it is also very sleek and attractive, too. The bike, which is perfect for group cycling/spinning classes, features a powerful toothed belt driven drivetrain that hugs the chain, and a feather-light aluminum flywheel that can be altered for performance thanks to the bike’s many levels of resistance. The seat of the bike includes gel inserts for added comfort throughout the workout, and the fine-tuned easy-up vertical and horizontal seat adjustments can easily be adapted to fit any size rider. Like the seat, the ergonomically designed handlebars can also be adjusted up/down and from side to side, and the padded cross bar protects the user’s arms and elbows when riding triathlon-style. The smart and versatile power console on the Matrix IC7 Group Cycling Bike is completely self-powered—roaring to life the moment the rider begins pedaling. Through this console, riders can track most of the usual fitness stats and rubrics found on other stationary bikes, such as heart rate (if they are wearing the optional chest strap), speed, distance, calories, revolutions per minute (RPM), METs, etc. However, in addition to these traditional statistics, the IC7 additionally offers some very cool bonuses not seen with other bikes in this class. Thanks to its patented Coach by Color Training System, the LED lights on the console will actually change color depending on a user’s output—measured in watts—heart rate or any other fitness milestone in which the console is programmed to track. This cool feature offers rapid “at-a-glance” monitoring and encouragement as riders make their way through the chosen course. The watts and heart rate information on the Matrix IC7 Group Cycling Bike is very accurate (+/- 1%). And its magnetic braking system closely replicates the feel of a real road racing bike. WATTRATE® TFT COMPUTER The WattRate® direct power meter is located at the intermediate transmission and uses photocells to directly measure the torsion (twisting force) of the spindle. 300 DEGREE DIAL RAPID RESISTANCE CONTROL The limited-to 300 degree dial offers 100 "clicked" increments and displays the resistance level as 0-100 on the WattRate® TFT computer.
