Two drawers on each side and each side has one open face storage cubby, metal trim on top headboard and foot board, no boxspring needed, 2years old, easy assembly and easy to take down, solid wood/no compressed wood. One minor issue is the footboard metal trim right side is missing a little cover; can easily cover with Amazon rubber corner bumpers for fix. **original price was $1,100 at time of purchase.
