Description
A completely decked-out high end turntable front end that is utterly joyful to listen to. I just upgraded my entire rig, and as petty as it sounds, I want a black turntable to match. The RP3 is fantastic and a great value to begin with. Comprehensive Tango Spinner high-mass upgrade (about $600 including platter, sub-platter, spindle, bearing, clamp, feet - all machined aluminum). Probably 50 hours total on the Ortofon Blue 2M ($200). The Tango Spinner belts were just replaced and include 3 extra sets as well (about $200 worth of belts). Bearing was also just oiled with professional Rega-OEM oil. In all, about $2K invested, minimal use, and recently refreshed. In full transparency, the speed was just slightly inconsistent (only noticeable to my musician ears with ambient music), which was the reason for replacing the belts under the advisement of Tango Spinner. Seems to have worked (see soeed reports). You're welcome to listen yourself (and if you're a serious buyer, I'll let you listen on your home system to make sure you're happy). Includes the dust cover as well, which I kept in a box since it doesn't fit in my cabinet (pictured). Thanks and feel free to ask questions! TTPSU is both an audio upgrade and convenience upgrade since you can operate speed and power entirely from the front panel. I can include for $200 more, and this would be required to play 45 rpm records.
