Description

Fantastic late 60s King Liberty 2B in great shape. This horn has been played and shows normal signs of use including lacquer wear, small dents and scratches, and some corrosion. The original engraving is sharp, however, and structurally and functionally it has held up very well with no major damage or playability issues. It has the focused, characteristic sound these horns are known for, balancing excellent projection and response with fullness and fatness that does not thin out even in the high register. The slide is maybe an 8/10 after a basic cleaning - smooth and easy to use but not optimally fast. This may benefit further from a chemical clean and some regulation. Comes in a larger vintage King case in decent condition, and includes vintage King M21 mouthpiece and a lyre. Overall, a fantastic horn ready to sing!
