Description

The pictures do this no justice, Rare American Chime Clock Co. Philadelphia,Pa. 9 tube Mahogany Hall clock dated 1938. This was a premier high-quality clock company who imported their movements from Germany and were manufactured by Winterhalder& Hofmeier, Considered top-of-the-line in quality , that only the Herchedes Clock company could rival them. The clock stands 90 inches tall (7.5 feet) solid mahogany case with full columns, thick beveled glass, Iron rod pendulum, 9 finally tuned brass tube’s, outstanding quality W&H Sch. Brass 8 day HQ movement ( cable driven) with oversized brass weights, And something that is unusual this Clock plays 4 tunes instead of the standard 3 you find in most clocks, St. Peter, West Minister, WhinChester and Whittington .. all can be controlled by a small dial on the front, you can choose silent ,you can also have it just chime only the hours or you can have it do you all three in any configuration which is also highly unusual, The clock in is in original condition serviced and in excellent running condition, for a small fee I can deliver and set up locally, this clock brand new was several thousand dollars and we’re talking way back in 1938 and there are auction records were these Clocks sold for over $10,000 years ago when the market was strong, I am asking $3499 which is a great deal for a piece of American history out of Philadelphia, I will also consider a partial trade or possibly a car or a pick up truck or any other item of interest, all I can do is say no, I am in really no hurry to get rid of it but I have so many other tall case and Grandfather Clock‘s I have to choose to let this one go, make me an offer
