This is an old Johnson Motor Company outboard boat motor. This motor, the company, and the brothers who owned the company have a rich history which was created right here in the nearby area. Johnson Motor Company is related to the modern day company Evinrude. This engine will still turn, meaning that is has not seized up after all these years. This motor, I believe, could be brought to working condition with minor attention and effort. It would make an interesting display piece or provide you with a unique method of propelling your small boat across the water whether it be for leisure or sport.
