Yhis is one of my all time favorite chairs. The Knoll Life chair gets lost in the Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Leap chair battle, but to me this is as comfortable, if not more so than both. This chair has been well loved and has some flaws, but for a $1000 chair at this price you can give it a test run and see if you'd rather have this one or spring for one of the others. Everything works as it should, the piston works (up and down), the seat pan goes back and forth, the arms adjust forward and back, up and down, locking tilt, etc. It's also a really nice looking chair if you ask me. For the flaws, the arm pads are cracked and so I have covers on them. The upholstery on the seat is spot and stain free, but there are some small holes in it. It's a great chair with some cosmetic issues, otherwise it's a great chair. The Life Chair by Knoll sets the standard for ergonomics and innovative design.
