Description

Part-time caregiver/home aid needed for elderly person with mild dementia. We are able to pay between $18.00-$20.00 an hour (depending on experience) for a personal support specialist. Hours available right now are approximately 12 hours per week (more hours are possible in the future). Comfortable work environment in a well maintained and peaceful community. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation necessary. Experience working with dementia patients is a plus, but training is available for qualified applicants. Duties will include such tasks as: Driving to grocery store for shopping (client vehicle is available to drive for qualified applicants), driving patient to doctor's appointments, house cleaning, in-home chores, assisting patient with medication reminders, possible help with doctor ordered exercise, assisting with weekly scheduling/reminders, helping with life tasks that the patient isn't able to accomplish alone.
