Patented on August 14, 1883, this pocket-sized case features a striking, deeply embossed cobblestone/alligator texture with "POSTAGE STAMPS" clearly displayed across the front. The top functions with a classic twin-knob kiss clasp closure. Originally carried in waistcoats during the Victorian era, these dual-purpose cases held matches and stamps securely on the go.
